The Putnam County Democratic Party will hold a Biennial Reorganization Convention to elect new leaders on Saturday, March 28 at 11 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Democratic party office located at 111 North Cedar Avenue in Cookeville.
The public is invited to come out and enjoy “Donuts with Democrats” at 10 a.m., the Reorganization Convention at 11 a.m., and pot luck lunch immediately following the convention.
Local democrats will elect and install a new chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary, treasurer and the members of the Executive Committee for Putnam County for a two-year term. Members will also discuss the party’s agenda and events or 2015 with the new officers. This meeting will be open for all attendees to express their ideas and thoughts about the party’s future.
Party officials are urging all democratic eligible voters to attend and help guide the party into the 2016 election cycle.
