Counterfeit $100 bills were successfully passed at two different Cookeville Restaurants Monday. The first incident occurred around 2 a.m. at the Waffle House on South Jefferson Avenue. The second crime happened around 11:45 a.m. at Ruby Tuesday on Interstate Drive.
Cookeville Police say employees at both restaurants gave similar descriptions of the suspect -- a black man, about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall inches tall. He reportedly had a goatee. The Ruby Tuesday employee told police he probably weighed around 190 pounds. He was last seen walking in front of the Olive Garden.
