If you're looking for a furry friend to take home with you...you might be interested in "Barketing in the Quad, a fund-raiser for the Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter and the Tennessee Tech Marketing Club.
Emilie Tucker is the social media and communications manager of the Marketing Club.
"We're trying to make it a fun fair, Tucker said. "We're going to have a lot games...and some snacks there, and we're also going to have the dogs there to play with."
Tucker says the overall purpose of the event is to : "Either adopt or donate some money to the animal shelter to help these animals find a home or to be taken care of while they're still in the shelter."
The event will raise funds for both the shelter and the marketing club. It runs from 8 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. If weather's a problem, you're invited to attend "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" at the animal shelter, and "Barketing in the Quad" will be rescheduled for April 18th.
