There's help available for low income area residents with legal problems. The Putnam County Bar Association and the Upper Cumberland Young lawyers Association are volunteering their time and expertise through the Legal Aid Society Volunteer Lawyers Program.
The clinic may be helpful to residents with problems with insurance or housing caused by the recent ice storm and bad weather. No appointment is needed and residents are encouraged to bring any paperwork related to their problems. The clinic can't help with criminal problems.
The clinic is scheduled for March 26, 2015 at Monterey City Hall, 302 E. Commercial Avenue in Monterey, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
